Definition
The news message is a general free format message between the broker and institution. The message contains flags to identify the news item's urgency and to allow sorting by subject company (symbol). The News message can be originated at either the broker or institution side, or exchanges and other marketplace venues.
Message structure 3964 distinct fields
Source order, including nested components and groups. Group counts precede the repeated entries. “Required here” is relative to the enclosing component or group, not unconditional in the message. A dash means not marked required; conditional requirements remain in the source notes. This is a reference, not a counterparty-specific validator.
